The Palace of Florence
45 Davis Boulevard, Tampa, Florida 33606
Located on Davis Islands, within the City of Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida. This twenty-eight (28) unit apartment building contains approximately 23,320 square feet. Built in 1926, this 3-story Mediterranean style building was completely restored in 2002-2003.
The Palace of Florence is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. It is also received Local Landmark Status. This project was qualified for the 20% Investment Tax Credit through the Federal Government. It received the approval and oversight of the National Park Service of the Department of the Interior. It also had oversight by the local Architectural Review Commission. All renovations meet the design guidelines established by the Secretary of the Interior’s Design Guidelines for Historic Restoration.
During 2001-2002, this building underwent extensive renovations that included new electrical, plumbing, new HVAC units as well as numerous architectural replications and restorations.
